Animals

Learning through animals is a less intense way of building resilience, confidence and empathy. Horses in particular can help to regulate human emotions, as they are sensitive animals we can learn through them more about understanding the world around us.

At HRH Education & Equine, horses and animals surrounding us are used as a stimulus, whilst teaching about care and enrichment for animals of all sizes. Any animals here are not 'working animals' and instead are used as the 'hook' to engage the learner and facilitate discussion, promote well-being and create educational opportunities. The animals on site are our pets and so we discuss them as part of a stimulus for our learning and to help inspire those with additional needs to focus on academic based tasks.

Lessons of these nature are tailored to each individual, like tuition but less 'academic based' and more 'out door learning' style - think Forest School for older children who have SEND - this is what we offer here. For these sessions you are just paying for the teaching and planning time of the session leader and these lessons are subject to availability.

WE DO NOT OFFER RIDING LESSONS AT SILVERLIGHT STABLES WITH ANY HORSES THAT LIVE HERE. Any ridden coaching is done through clients own personal horses, or that of horses owned by a riding school and who do not reside at this premises. - Visit HRH Equine page for information about equine coaching and training services.

At this current time, these lessons do not involve any HANDS ON of the animals on site at Silverlight Stables, images on this website are from previous residences where sessions have taken place, this is something we may develop in the future but currently we do not have the means to support these sessions at this time (September 2024).
